Our story
Hi! I’m Carolyn
My adult background is essentially in the hospitality industry, a career of 30 years.
As a child, I had a passion for the land, and animals. I learned the value of hard work and resiliency. My passions are still horses, art, flowers, and creating with my hands. I am an avid quilter and enjoy creating in all forms.
I placed big value on Joy, authenticity, and integrity, being who you are even when someone is looking.
Al came to visit Windhorse Farm in 2012 and basically, never left. His background as a Calgarian in the oil business has created a 190° change in lifestyle. His passions are working on the farm and putting up with Carolyn’s constant flow of change and ideas. His Heaven is a small placer lease in the Monashee Mountains, where he recharges and finds his Bliss, as much as possible.
For years, Carolyn managed Windhorse Farm as an active horse farm. This farm has been her escape and passion project which she shares with Al. In 2017, Carolyn began growing Lavender. Like bees, the farm sleeps in the winter and she can be found exploring new places and experiencing all the world has to offer.

Our lavender is grown with sunshine, water, and love. We work with the weather and the farm will follow suit. Every batch is magic and we hope to source that for you. The first thing we add to all our lavender, is care.

The farm is home to varieties of lavender, horses, bumblebees, a dog, a cat, an eco airbnb, a koi pond, serenity circle, a zen garden, and an incredible array of wildlife, all while being surrounded with Carolyn’s favourite trees that she’s constantly adding to grow the collection.
